Why Someday September?

Simple. It’s one of my first and favorite Pinterest boards. It reminds me of the days when I was dreaming of what my second life would be like. At 32 i found myself in a new high stress professional career and divorced after being with my high school-ish sweetheart for more than 13 years. Just my daughter and i, every other week. Someday September started as a board, a look towards the future. Hopes, dreams, goals, ideas and plans. September had for many years been a sad time of year for me. It’s a month that changed my life forever, I lost my 10 year old baby brother to cancer. After these big changes in my 30’s, I was determined that Someday, September would be a happier time in my life. I pinned and pinned, the board was full of beautiful home pictures, gardens, collections of all things wanted. Then I met Josh (in September). A whirlwind of a very unexpected romance. He is a bit older than me and wanted a family more than anything. We quickly had 2 babies-boys a year apart. Meanwhile Someday September kept changing, evolving. House decor ideas, diy projects and crafts, baby stuff. When babies grew and life settled down a bit, Josh asked me to marry him-yes we did all of this backwards and quick. I knew in that moment how someday, September was going to change! We set the date and started planning immediately. September 19th would be the day that would seal the deal on changing my life forever. My Pinterest board was cleared and sorted to various other boards and Someday September became our wedding planning spot. Married almost 5 years now, and Someday September has sat un-visited for months, probably years. My hobbies-(really I called them my therapy) of homemade, handcrafted and homegrown items have taken over and need a place to be shared. I couldn’t think of a better name, a big part of my story, my second life,
